Tokka- A Mother's Journey -Chapter 10-
Month 6
They had been at the Beifong residence for a little over two weeks. In that time, Sokka had been tested many times by both Lao and Poppy, and their tormenting gradually lessened as they slowly accepted him. Lao on many occasions asked him to do physically demanding chores around the house. He claimed that he didn’t trust the incompetent servants, but Sokka and Toph both knew he was shamelessly testing Sokka’s strength. He passed every time, thanks to many sparring matches with Toph that kept him fit.
Meanwhile, Poppy was constantly lecturing Toph about how to take care of the baby. And she went on and on about finally be

Tokka- A Mother's Journey -Chapter 9-
Bao sat by himself, trying to get some kindling to spark. He had always been kind of a loner. He was the only child born of his parents. His father died defending his country from the Fire Nation. His mother passed shortly after, of a broken heart, they say. Thus Bao spent much of his childhood in an orphanage. There he learned to be tough and defend himself because no one else would.
When he was old enough, he joined the army. All the older folks around him spoke of his father’s bravery in battle, sacrificing his life to save hundreds of others. He wanted to carry on that legacy of greatness. So he fought until the war ended. Before,

Toph felt caught between a rock and a hard place. Behind her was Yang, the town where the person she hated most lived and walked the streets. Every day they were there, she feared she would accidentally run into him or his wife on the street. Often, she would have Sokka go out alone to buy food or supplies. Ahead of her was Gaoling, where her parents lived. The thought of seeing them again gave her a sick feeling. The thought of them seeing her pregnant before marriage was beyond revolting. She would rather be dead than see their reaction.
Ex-boyfriend, or disapproving parents?
Toph hung her head and groaned.
Sokka looked back at her upon
Tokka Week - Tradition
There were times when Sokka looked out the window of his house and was surprised to see Republic City there.
It was ridiculous, of course. The city was decades old, and Sokka had not only lived in it for most of his life, but helped to both build the place and run it, in its formative years. Regardless of the fact that the history books and dramatizations memorialized him as One of The Avatar's Companions, the real defining aspect of Sokka's life was how he took Aang and Zuko's vague dreams of "a place where there are no nations, kind of," and turned them into a city of technological wonder, where people truly did not

Tokka Week-Day 2-Some Things Never Change
“Do you think it'll really work?” Sokka asked.
Toph punched him in the arm “Not if you give away our position first, Meathead!”
Sokka let out a yelp and rubbed the soon-to-be bruise while scowling at his friend. “Geez! Was that really necessary?” he asked angrily. Toph just rolled her eyes. She tried tuning him out to focus on the two figures coming their way. It didn’t work. “What if she gets mad? You and I both know Katara’s not really one for pranks.” He gasped “What if she’s so mad she refuses to feed us? Toph! I can’t not eat! Maybe this wasn’t such

Tokka Week: Day 1 Shelter
As she sat underneath her makeshift shelter, Toph collected herself into a ball, cradling her injured leg. “Where are you Sokka?” she whispered to the wet darkness.

They had been deeper than ever in one of the forests that surrounded the fire nation's lower class villages, searching out a hidden base for a well known rebellion group. Even after five years since Zuko's coronation as Fire Lord, they still had quite a bit of trouble with loyalist who were set on overthrowing the young ruler. Sokka, Toph and four trainees were sent out as a precaution group to look for things like booby traps or false routes.
